In order to provide international students with excellent studying environments, CYUT arranges our First-Dormitory for freshmen during the first year.

Dormitory:

First-Dormitory: Our First-Dormitory is an 11-story building with 4-person (quadruple) and 8-person rooms. The dormitory is equipped with social hall, restaurant, 7-11, laundry, cooking room, ATM, and mail-box. Second-Dormitory: Our Second-Dormitory is off-campus and located near business district of Wu-Feng District. There are shuttle buses between Second-Dormitory and CYUT campus. The air-conditioned second-dormitory offers two-person rooms (twins) and has Audio-Visual rooms, Gyms, Laundry, cooking room, and parking space for motorcycles. Third-Dormitory: The Third-Dormitory offers 3-person or 4-person rooms. It also has Social Hall, Laundry, Cooking Room, and Parking Space. Every room is equipped with optical fiber internet and telephone. It is about one kilometer from our campus and students can take the Bus 227 to and from the campus. The living condition in the third-dormitory is quite comfortable and there are instructors and security guards who offer students an excellent environment to study in.

  • CYUT offers on-campus and off-campus dormitories.
  • All International students are guaranteed university-owned accommodation.
  • A standard room accommodates from two, four to eight students and is furnished with beds, desks, bookshelves, and chairs. Bathrooms are shared.
  • Facilities include laundromat, kitchen, canteen, café, common area and internet access.
  • Special rooms are available for students with disabilities.

After applying for scholarship, students (undergraduates and graduate students in master and Ph.D. programs) are examined by the Admission Office to determine whether they are qualified enough or not. There are two kinds of scholarship: full scholarship and half scholarship.

Your NHI coverage commence depending on the date of issue of your ARC. You will be eligible to join NHI after 6 months of issuing date of your ARC, even if you NHI application are in process.

Yes, according to National Health Insurance Act, NHI is mandatory for international students who hold an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) and stay in the Taiwan area at least 6 consecutive months.

Yes, the benefit package of NHI does not include everything. For each visiting, you still need to pay for the copayment. Extra fee will be charged if you need special treatment or medicine.

Yes, student accident insurance is compulsory and covers your accident. The cost is around NT$3000 per semester which is collected from your tuition bill.

Please prepare the following documents to Taiwan Cooperative Bank: ARC, passport, student ID card (all original and photo copy), personal stamp, Admission Letter (if you do not have a student ID card yet), and at least deposit NT$100.
